Qualifications

• Masters Degree from an accredited graduate program in speech language pathology school.
• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist, or ability to obtain prior to starting.
• Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and cognitive impairments.
• Establish treatment goals and develop Speech Pathology programs based on evaluations.
• Provide rehabilitative services under medical orders as part of a coordinated team.
• Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate patient care plans.
• Treat residents individually to provide functional-based treatment.

• Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/ cognitive impairments, utilizing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques
• Establish treatment goals, as well as develop and implement appropriate Speech Pathology treatment programs based upon a full clinical evaluation
• Provide rehabilitative services to patients under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team
• Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate the plan of care for patients
• Treat residents one on one so each patient gets individualized attention through private treatment sessions with a functional based treatment approach
