New Story Schools in Wellsville, PA is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students ages 5–21 with autism and emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. You will work with teachers to implement goals and provide direct support.

You will help with academic, behavioral, and daily living tasks, assist with transitions and personal care, and collect progress data while maintaining a safe learning environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• At least three months of experience supporting individuals with learning or behavioral disabilities.
• Knowledge of behavior management and classroom support strategies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay calm and consistent during challenging situations.

Responsabilidades

• Support students with academic, behavioral, and self-care goals.
• Implement IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans under teacher guidance.
• Assist students with transitions, activities, and personal care as needed.
• Collect and record behavioral and progress data.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
