Job summary

Springfield Public Schools seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional to support a small case load of students with moderate to severe needs. You will work with families and teachers to implement rigorous academic and behavior interventions, driving student success in the classroom.

Qualifications

• A high-school diploma or GED.
• Sixty (60) college credits or an Associate’s Degree.
• Passing score on ParaPro or WorkKeys assessments.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to support students with diverse needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a small case load of students to drive academic achievement.
• Support rigorous academic and behavior intervention systems.
• Maintain high expectations for academics and behavior.
• Support mastery of state, local, and school standards.
• Lead daily individual and small group tutoring sessions.
• Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues.
