Job summary

KENSINGTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in Springfield, MA is seeking a SPED Paraprofessional to support a small caseload of students, assisting in delivering rigorous academic and behavioral interventions under the supervision of an experienced special educator.

You will lead daily tutoring, help students meet state and district standards, and communicate with families and colleagues to ensure student progress and inclusive classroom practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 60 college credits or an Associate's degree, or ParaPro or WorkKeys certification.
• US work authorization by start date.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Work with an experienced special educator to support a small caseload of students and drive academic achievement.
• Implement an effective academic and behavior intervention system for a small caseload.
• Maintain consistent and high academic and behavioral expectations.
• Support student mastery of state, city, and school standards.
• Lead daily individual and small-group tutoring sessions.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
