Job summary

The Springfield Public Schools are seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support a small caseload of students with moderate to severe needs under the supervision of a lead special educator. This role focuses on implementing rigorous academic and behavior intervention systems to help students succeed in the classroom.

Responsibilities include daily tutoring, maintaining high expectations, communicating with families and colleagues, and helping students reach state and school standards.

• Implement an effective academic and behavior intervention system.
• Maintain consistent high academic and behavioral expectations.
• Support mastery of state, city, and school standards.
• Lead daily tutoring sessions, individually or in small groups.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
