Springfield Public Schools DRYDEN MEMORIAL ELEMENTARY SCH in Springfield, MA is hiring a SPED Paraprofessional to support a small caseload of students with moderate to severe needs. You will work alongside a veteran special educator to implement effective academic and behavioral interventions and to foster student achievement in a dynamic school setting.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED and 60 college credits or an Associate’s Degree.
• Passing score on ParaPro or WorkKeys.
• Current authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong public speaking.

Responsibilities

• Work with a small caseload of students to drive academic achievement.
• Implement rigorous academic and behavior intervention systems.
• Provide high expectations for student outcomes and behaviors.
• Support student mastery of standards at state/city/school level.
• Lead daily tutoring sessions, individual or small group.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
