Job summary

Springfield Empowerment Zone Partnership seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with moderate to severe needs under the guidance of experienced educators. You will help implement evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions and manage a small caseload to drive student achievement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 60 college credits or an Associate’s degree are required or preferred.
• Passing WorkKeys or ParaPro assessment is required.
• Must have current authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Support a small caseload of students under the supervision of a special educator.
• Implement rigorous academic and behavior intervention systems.
• Lead daily tutoring sessions with students in small groups and individually.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
• Help students meet state, city, and school standards.
• Foster a positive learning environment and uphold high expectations.
