Job summary

North Kansas City Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional Tier 2 – Special Education to support a teacher or team in delivering instruction and managing classroom activities. You will assist with instructional materials, student monitoring, and implementing strategies under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/associate level coursework in education preferred.
• Training required for paraprofessional role in MO (20-hour online substitute).
• Flexibility to adapt to student needs and supervise instructional activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with self-monitoring and de-escalation.
• Support navigation and use of assistive technology.
• Maintain data on student goals and progress.
• Assist with group or individual instruction under teacher guidance.
• Supervise students during drills, assemblies, field trips, and breaks.
