Job summary

North Kansas City Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional Tier 1 – Special Education to support teachers and students in a well-organized classroom environment. You will assist with individual and small-group instruction, manage materials, supervise activities, and help create a safe, respectful learning atmosphere in line with district policies.

Qualifications include 36 college hours, Missouri paraprofessional test or 20-hour substitute training, with a preference for a Missouri teaching

Qualifications

• Requires 36 college hours or more and passing Missouri paraprofessional test or approved substitute training.
• Missouri teaching certificate is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to perform essential functions with needed accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Administer, score, and record achievement and diagnostic tests as recommended.
• Assist with instruction, materials management, and supervision during activities.
• Maintain classroom materials, displays, and organization.
• Supervise students during drills, assemblies, and field trips.
