Job summary

North Kansas City Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional Tier 3 in Special Education to support teachers and students within the building. The role involves assisting with instruction, health-related tasks, and classroom management to ensure a smoothly functioning instructional environment.

The candidate should have Missouri paraprofessional credentials or test/treatment options, be capable of supporting students with diverse needs, and work under the supervision of a Special Education teacher

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid training required or available.
• Medication administration knowledge including EPI PEN.
• Ability to assist with mobility and daily living tasks.
• Commitment to student safety and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with toileting and diapering.
• Assist with transferring and lifting students.
• Supervise students during drills, assemblies, field trips and other activities.
• Maintain up-to-date data on student goals and progress.
• Distribute and collect workbooks, papers and materials for instruction.
• Serve as substitute for the teacher when needed or assigned.
