Job summary

North Kansas City Schools seeks a Paraprofessional Tier 3 in Special Education to support teachers and students in a busy PK-12 environment. You will help implement instructional programs and adapt resources to individual needs.

The role requires knowledge of health and safety procedures, including CPR, first aid, and medication administration training. You will assist with mobility, behavior support, and routine classroom tasks to foster a positive learning atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 36 college hours; 60 hours preferred.
• Missouri teaching certificate preferred.
• Ability to perform essential functions with accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Becomes CPR certified and completes First Aid Training.
• Trains in Medication Administration including EpiPen.
• Assists students with toileting and transferring.
• Assists students with transferring and/or lifting of Student(s).
• Maintains up-to-date data on student goals and progress.
• Supervises students during drills, assemblies, field trips and other activities.
