Job summary

Qualifications

• Paraprofessional Educator certificate required (PSC)
• Praxis Parapro or GACE Parapro required (pre-2007 cutoffs)
• 60 sem. hours or 90 quarter hours PSC approved college/uni required

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom activities to support IEP objectives and student participation
• Provide first aid and basic health care support as directed
• Administer tests, homework, and makeup work to support learning
• Assist students with disabilities in daily routines and self-care
• Collaborate with teachers to evaluate progress and implement IEP goals
• Collect data under supervision to reinforce learning
• Monitor students to maintain safe, positive learning environment
• Maintain records (attendance, files, logs) and support materials
• Deliver instruction in small and large groups under teacher supervision
• Respond to emergencies and apply crisis intervention procedures
• Assist with hallway, lunchroom, restrooms, and bus duty as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned
