Responsibilities

• Supports students in resource, self-contained or regular classrooms.
• Adheres to plans or accommodations required by IEP/behavior/healthcare plans.
• Performs duties to meet needs of specific student populations; e.g., toileting assistance when needed.
• Assists teachers with hardware, software and assistive technology.
• Provides feedback on student performance to appropriate staff.
• Conducts small group or individual activities per lesson plans.
• Assists with assessment, grading and data collection.
• Maintains routine records as prescribed by personnel.
• Helps prepare instructional materials and displays.
• Operates and returns needed equipment.
• Performs classroom housekeeping tasks and inventory.
• Supervises students in classrooms and buses; bus monitoring as needed.
• Maintains required licenses/certifications for the position.
• Follows scheduling, attendance and punctuality requirements.
• Participates in training to improve skills.
