Qualifikationen

• Paraprofessional Educator certificate PSC required.
• High School Diploma or GED with Praxis Parapro or GACE Parapro required.
• PSC-approved college credits may substitute for assessments.

Aufgaben

• Assist teachers and students by working with learners individually or in small groups.
• Provide instruction as prescribed by the supervising teacher and reinforce skills.
• Utilize games, stories, or activities to enhance learning.
• Check and objectively evaluate students' work.
• Help manage student behavior and maintain classroom order.
• Prepare lesson plans and assist in pre-planning sessions.
• Develop classroom activities and learning tools.
• Diagnose student math and communication skills; monitor progress.
• Prepare instructional materials and copy/laminate as needed.
• Coordinate with media center staff and set up classroom equipment.
• Prepare reports and maintain attendance records; assist with bus routes as needed.
• Perform monitoring duties in hallways, lunchroom, restrooms and on bus duty.
