Job summary

Qualifications

• Must obtain or possess a current Substitute Certificate or a Teacher Certificate prior to start date.
• May be required to pursue MANDT Certification at the first available opportunity.
• To obtain Substitute Certificate options: Associates Degree or higher; 60 college credit hours; completed Missouri's 20-hour online substitute training; copy of HS diploma, transcripts, or GED.

Responsibilities

• Attend work regularly and punctually.
• Telework when requested by the District with supervisor approval.
• Assist teacher with clerical duties and classroom routines.
• Administer classroom assignments to support instructional process.
• Communicate with teachers and parents to evaluate progress and implement IEP objectives.
• Monitor students in various settings to provide a safe learning environment.
• Report observations to instructional/administrative staff.
• Respond to emergencies and direct to appropriate personnel.
• Assist students individually or in small groups with lessons.
• Assist students with mobility needs as required.
• Cover classes when substitute teacher is unavailable.
• Perform other assigned duties.
