Job summary

Dallas ISD is seeking a SPED Inclusion Teacher Assistant for grades K-8 (RTP20261028-015). The role includes assisting the lead teacher with instructional materials, classroom setup, and curriculum support.

You will supervise students throughout the day and assist with records and reports as required. Responsibilities also include supporting students with physical disabilities, preparing for substitutes, and maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Accredited Senior High School Diploma or equivalent (USA equivalency).
• Paraprofessional certificate from State Board of Certification.
• Successful completion of a specific training program for teacher assistants or six months of knowledge and skills acquired through work experience preferred.
• Demonstrated general knowledge of child growth/development and behavior characteristics.
• Demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse ethnic groups.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with instructional materials, classroom displays and curriculum.
• Support students with physical disabilities, including transfers and personal care.
• Provide supervision and safety during lunch, bus and playground times.
• Help maintain records and prepare required reports as needed.
• Participate in staff development and school events as assigned.

Education
