Job summary

Dallas Independent School District is seeking a SPED Inclusion Teacher for grades 9-12 to collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through ARD and implement individualized education plans.

You will modify curricula, support inclusion in regular classes, use varied instructional methods, assess progress, manage behavior per IEP, and stay current with professional developments while complying with district policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a directly related field.
• Valid Texas teacher certificate with Special Education endorsements.
• One year of student teaching or approved internship.
• Willingness to participate in professional growth.
• Knowledge of ARD/IEP processes and goals.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
• Commitment to staying current with developments in the field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through ARD.
• Implement instructional, therapeutic, or skill development programs.
• Modify curricula for students with disabilities and assist in regular classes.
• Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet student needs.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement.
• Manage student behavior and administer discipline per IEP.
• Consult with teachers and resources regarding education and needs.
• Comply with regulations and policies for special education.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Regular attendance at the worksite is required.
