Job summary

SST Schools is seeking a dedicated Special Education Coordinator to oversee SPED, 504, and Dyslexia programs in line with federal, state, and district requirements. You will ensure effective instructional services based on individual student needs and oversee implementation of IEPs and 504 plans.

Responsibilities include staff training, scheduling, compliance oversight, progress monitoring, and collaboration with district personnel to enhance SPED/504 services and outcomes for students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 2+ years SPED teaching experience preferred.
• Valid Texas Educator Certification with SPED endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train teachers of SPED students and general education staff on confidentiality and compliance.
• Assist in scheduling SPED instruction and staff development programs.
• Monitor SPED/504 student progress and coordinate instruction based on evaluations.
• Maintain required reports and documentation per district, state, and federal laws.
• Collaborate with district personnel and professionals to support SPED/504 services and programs.
