Job summary

SST Schools seeks a dedicated educator to coordinate Special Education, Section 504 and Dyslexia Programs in compliance with federal, state, and district requirements. You will ensure effective instructional and related services per IEPs and 504 plans tailored to individual student needs.

You will train staff, assist in ARD/504 planning, monitor student progress, and maintain required records while collaborating with district personnel and families to support SPED/504 services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 2 years of special education teaching experience (Preferred)
• Valid Texas Educator Certification with required special education endorsement (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Trains teachers of SPED/504 and general education staff on confidentiality and compliance with laws.
• Drives scheduling for SPED instruction and ARD/504 meetings.
• Monitors SPED/504 student progress using formative and summative data.
• Compiles and maintains required district, state, and federal reports and documents.
• Ensures safe, organized learning environments and effective communication with parents and staff.
• Collaborates with district personnel and Region service centers on SPED/504 services and programs.
