Job summary

SST Willow Creek is seeking a SPED Teacher/Coordinator to coordinate Special Education, Section 504 and Dyslexia programs in Spring, TX. The role involves ensuring compliant service delivery under IEPs and 504 plans, training staff, and maintaining documentation.

Responsibilities include monitoring student progress, coordinating SPED instruction, and collaborating with district personnel to support families and educators in a fast-paced school environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 2 years of special education teaching experience (Preferred).
• Valid Texas Educator Certification with required special education endorsement (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate SPED, Section 504 and Dyslexia programs in compliance with federal, state and district requirements.
• Ensure provision of effective instructional and related services per IEPs and 504 plans.
• Train teachers of a special population, general education teachers, and other staff on confidentiality and compliance.
• Plan and implement staff development and in-service programs for SPED/504.
• Monitor SPED/504 students’ academic progress and coordinate SPED instruction and scheduling.
• Prepare and maintain required reports and documentation per district, state and federal laws.
• Maintain safe, organized SPED classrooms and communicate with parents and staff about student progress.
• Collaborate with district personnel and professionals to educate families about SPED/504 services.
