Job summary

SST Schools is seeking a dedicated SPED Coordinator to align Section 504 and IEP services with district and state requirements. You will lead professional development, supervise SPED program delivery, and ensure confidentiality and compliant practice across teams.

The role emphasizes collaboration with district personnel, including ARD/504 processes, and ongoing communication with families to support students with disabilities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 2 years of SPED teaching experience (preferred).
  • Valid Texas Educator Certification with SPED endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Train SPED staff and general education teachers while maintaining student confidentiality as required by law.
  • Schedule SPED instruction and supporting staff development activities.
  • Monitor SPED/504 student progress and use results to adjust instruction and scheduling.
  • Prepare and file reports and documentation per district, state, and federal requirements.
  • Communicate with parents, students, principals, and teachers about progress and plans.
  • Collaborate with district personnel and other professionals to support SPED/504 services.
