Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Technical Product Manager (Spectrum Dominance) to translate complex defense requirements into software features and firmware updates. Based in Irvine, CA, the role is hybrid with on-site days and US-based remote flexibility.

You will own the spectrum dominance backlog, align R&D with GTM, and drive adoption while meeting DoD specs. U.S. citizenship and active clearance are required, with travel up to 25–50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, RF Engineering, or a highly related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of technical product management or systems engineering experience within the defense, aerospace, or wireless communications industries.
• Strong working knowledge of signal processing, wireless communications, RF systems, software-defined radios (SDRs), digital signal processing (DSP), or mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs).
• Demonstrated experience translating highly complex mathematical algorithms, scientific concepts, or military use cases into structured, clear, and actionable software requirements and user stories.
• Proven ability to influence and align cross-functional R&D, engineering, operations, and sales teams without direct authority to meet strict release timelines.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Requirements Engineering: Translating abstract DoD mission requirements into structured user stories and technical specifications.
• Algorithm-to-Feature Translation: Translating LPI/LPD and anti-jamming techniques into features with a clear operator experience.
• Product & Waveform Ownership: Owning the backlog, requirements, and user experience for spectrum-dominance features.
• Technical Waveform Alignment: Ensuring waveforms integrate with MN-MIMO architecture and StreamCaster hardware.
