Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Technical Product Manager (Spectrum Dominance) to drive technical requirements, backlog ownership, market adoption, and revenue growth for the Spectrum Dominance portfolio. You will bridge DoD requirements with software features and firmware updates, coordinating with R&D, engineering, and GTM teams.

The role reports to Product Management, with hybrid work in Irvine, CA, and potential remote options for US candidates; travel up to 25-50% for field testing and customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field relevant to defense, aerospace, or wireless communications.
• 5+ years of technical product management or systems engineering experience in defense/aerospace/wireless.
• Strong knowledge of signal processing, RF systems, SDRs, DSP, or MANETs.
• Ability to translate complex algorithms or military use cases into software requirements and user stories.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams to meet release timelines.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months; U.S. citizenship required.
• Background check and drug test clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Translate DoD mission requirements, signal analysis concepts, and spectrum ops needs into structured user stories and specs.
• Translate LPI/LPD and anti-jamming techniques into feature sets with intuitive operator experiences.
• Own end-to-end software/firmware backlog, requirements, and user experience for spectrum dominance features.
• Work with R&D and software teams to ensure waveforms integrate with MN-MIMO architecture and StreamCaster hardware.
