Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a highly motivated Technical Product Manager (Spectrum Dominance) to own requirements, backlog, and growth. Translate defense requirements and advanced R&D algorithms into software features, firmware, and operator experiences, bridging R&D with engineering, operations, and go-to-market teams. This hybrid Irvine, CA role reports to the Director of Product Management.

Travel up to 25–50% for field testing and customer engagements. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, RF Engineering, or a highly related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of technical product management or systems engineering experience in defense, aerospace, or wireless communications.
• Strong working knowledge of signal processing, wireless communications, RF systems, SDRs, DSP, or MANETs.
• Experience translating complex algorithms or military use cases into software requirements and user stories.
• Ability to influence cross-functional R&D, engineering, operations, and sales to meet release timelines.

Responsibilities

• Translate abstract DoD mission requirements and signal processing concepts into structured user stories and specs.
• Translate LPI/LPD techniques into clear feature sets with intuitive operator experiences.
• Own end-to-end software and firmware backlog for spectrum dominance features.
• Coordinate with R&D, software engineering, and hardware platforms for seamless integration.
