Labcorp is seeking a Reference Test Clerk to join our team in Overland Park, KS. The role supports laboratory operations by preparing specimens, resolving issues, and coordinating test requests. Schedule includes early morning hours with overtime as needed.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED and may have prior Labcorp experience or 1+ year in a medical/clinical laboratory setting. Strong attention to detail and team collaboration are essential.

LabCorp is seeking a Reference Test Clerk to join our team in Overland Park, KS.

Work Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 3AM-11:30AM. Overtime as needed based on business needs. Employee can expect to work between 2-8 hours of overtime a week.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for various analysis and testing
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems
• Send test requests to proper location and release test results
• Assist clients with any specimen related requests or inquiries
• Process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities
• Perform audits to ensure all specimen have been sent to correct testing facility
• Provide support to various areas of the laboratory
• Perform sample sorting, racking and retrieving
• Prepare record logs in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Minimum Qualification

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Qualification

• Current or prior Labcorp experience
• 1 year or more of experience in a medical / clinical laboratory experience

• Comfortability with handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Strong communication skills; written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment
• Well organized and a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
