Labcorp is seeking a Reference Test Clerk to join our team in Overland Park, KS. Responsibilities include preparing specimens, resolving issues, and releasing test results while assisting clients with inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems.
• Send test requests to proper location and release results.
• Assist clients with specimen related inquiries.
• Process specimens for testing at additional facilities.
• Audit specimens and ensure correct testing facility routing.
• Support various laboratory areas and maintain logs.
• Sort, rack and retrieve samples; maintain a clean, safe work area.

Together, we’re improving health and improving lives. LabCorp is seeking a Reference Test Clerk to join our team in Overland Park, KS. Work Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 3AM-11:30AM. Overtime as needed based on business needs. Employee can expect to work between 2-8 hours of overtime a week.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for various analysis and testing
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems
• Send test requests to proper location and release test results
• Assist clients with any specimen related requests or inquiries
• Process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities
• Perform audits to ensure all specimen have been sent to correct testing facility
• Provide support to various areas of the laboratory
• Perform sample sorting, racking and retrieving
• Prepare record logs in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Minimum Qualification:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Qualification:

• Current or prior Labcorp experience 1 year or more of experience in a medical / clinical laboratory experience

Additional Job Standards:

• Comfortability with handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Strong communication skills; written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment
• Well organized and a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
