Job summary

Graybar in Pflugerville, TX is seeking a Trainee to rotate through assigned specialty areas, gaining broad knowledge of the business and exposure to different functions and units.

You will complete training, perform designated duties, and develop skills in collaboration, problem solving and continuous improvement to prepare for future roles within the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4 year degree may be preferred depending on assigned specialty area.
• Knowledge of the wholesale distribution industry.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding of continuous improvement techniques and practices.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to relocate, depending on assigned specialty area.
• Analytical, conceptual, and problem solving skills.
• Planning, organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Job description

Make a difference. As a Trainee, you will have the opportunity to prepare for a functional or managerial role in an assigned specialty area of the Company by completing rotational assignments, and gaining work experience and exposure to various functions and business units throughout the Company.

Shift Hours and Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Compensation Details

The expected starting rate of pay for this position is $23.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on experience.
