Sentara Health is hiring a Pharmacy Technician at our Proprium Pharmacy Fulfillment Center in Chesapeake, VA. The role supports care delivery and dispensing under supervision, with a 8AM-5PM schedule and occasional Saturdays.

Base pay ranges from $23.50 to $36.36 hourly, with potential bonuses and shift differentials. A Virginia Pharmacy Tech License is required, with CPhT preferred. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care
• Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed
• Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information
• Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements

• Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner
• Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care
• Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed

• Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately
