Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician at the Proprium Pharmacy Fulfillment Center in Chesapeake, VA. You will fill and deliver medications under supervision, ensure adequate supplies, and triage/ escalate questions beyond scope.

The role requires a Virginia Pharmacy Tech license; CPhT preferred. The position offers 40 hours weekly, 8AM-5PM, with occasional Saturdays and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
• Active Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required).
• CPHT/NHA/PTCB preferred.
• 1 year Pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fill and deliver medications under supervision of a pharmacist or licensed practitioner.
• Ensure adequate supplies for continuous patient care.
• Triage questions outside scope of practice and escalate as needed.
• Use appropriate systems for processing patient information (Epic/Omnicell).
• Maintain quality assurance per department and legal requirements.
• Operate pharmacy equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $23.50 - $36.36 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
