Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a Part-time Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The role supports care delivery and dispensing under pharmacist supervision, with a rotating shift and 24 hours per week.

A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates. A Virginia Pharmacy Tech License is required, with a CPhT license preferred. The base pay ranges from $23.50 to $36.36 per hour, with additional compensation possible.

Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Virginia Pharmacy Tech License required; CPhT license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pharmacy Technicians perform care delivery and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner.
• Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner.
• Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care.
• Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed.
• Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information.
• Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements.
• Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately.
