Actalent is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Raleigh, NC to support patients and providers in a fast-paced specialty pharmacy call center. You will review referrals, build patient profiles, and ensure prescriptions are clinically appropriate for processing, enabling downstream teams to help patients access medications.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, clear communication with providers, and a professional customer-service approach in a non-patient-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician with active licensure or registration where required.
• Experience in pharmacy operations and call center environments.
• Excellent data entry and attention to detail, with strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review referrals to confirm complete and accurate information for workflow.
• Create patient profiles from scanned or faxed documents with accurate data entry.
• Perform initial prescription checks to verify accuracy for processing.
• Communicate with providers about referral status and missing information.
• Update progress notes to keep workflow colleagues informed on status.
• Enter provider data, including NPI, into systems for BI reporting.
• Deliver courteous customer service in a predominantly internal call center role.
