Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician Intake in Cary, NC. You will review referrals, verify prescription information, create patient profiles, and collaborate with providers to ensure accurate processing and timely access to specialty medications.

This contract, onsite role emphasizes high-volume data entry, accuracy, and strong communication within a call-center style environment, with potential for hybrid work for permanent staff.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification in good standing.
• Active Pharmacy Technician registration with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy (NCBOP).
• Prior experience working in a pharmacy environment.
• Strong data entry and computer skills with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming referrals to ensure information is complete and ready for processing.
• Create and maintain patient and provider records within pharmacy systems.
• Verify prescription information for completeness and accuracy prior to processing.
• Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions and provide status updates.
• Document referral activity and progress notes to support workflow across teams.
• Enter and maintain provider information, including NPI data.
• Perform high-volume data entry with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support patient access to specialty medications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve referral-related issues with sound judgment.
• Support additional pharmacy operations and patient access initiatives as needed.
