Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Technician II in Neptune City, NJ to support sterile compounding under pharmacist supervision. Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of sterile compounding experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital or similar experience.
• Minimum of 6 months hazardous compounding experience.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and USP <797> and <800> standards.
• Experience using CTSD devices and tubing for chemotherapy products.
• Proficiency with EPIC and other hospital software.

Responsibilities

• Sterile Compounding: Prepare sterile medications including IV admixtures per protocols.
• Aseptic Technique: Maintain aseptic conditions to ensure patient safety.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor equipment, cleanrooms, and laminar hoods for quality.
• Inventory Management: Track stock and storage conditions for sterile drugs.
• Documentation: Keep detailed records and batch documentation.
• Collaboration: Work with pharmacists, nurses, and healthcare staff to meet patient needs.
• Safety Compliance: Follow PPE, hazardous drug handling, and waste disposal rules.
• Continuous Learning: Stay current with guidelines and best practices in sterile compounding.
• Prepare parenteral mixtures and chemotherapy products as needed under supervision.
