Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year hospital or similar experience.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, USP standards, and compounding equipment.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a sterile environment.
• Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Proficiency in EPIC software.
• Strong knowledge of brand/generic medications.

Responsibilities

• Sterile Compounding: Prepare sterile medications following established protocols in compliance with USP standards.
• Aseptic Technique: Maintain aseptic techniques to minimize contamination and ensure patient safety.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor equipment, cleanrooms, and hoods for quality standards.
• Inventory Management: Manage stock levels and proper storage for sterile drugs.
• Documentation: Keep accurate batch records and QC logs for medications.
• Collaboration: Work with pharmacists, nurses, and healthcare professionals to serve patients.
• Safety Compliance: Follow PPE use and safety regulations.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in sterile compounding.
• Prepare parenteral mixtures for non-hazardous preparations and load into ADC as needed.
