Job summary

The role requires a Pharmacy Technician License, at least 1 year of hospital experience, and strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and USP <797> standards. Candidates should be detail oriented and collaborative as part of a larger patient care team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1 year of hospital or similar experience.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, USP <797> standards, and compounding equipment.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a sterile environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Proficiency with software such as EPIC.
• Knowledge of brand/generic medications.

Responsibilities

• Sterile compounding of IV admixtures and other sterile products following USP <797> standards.
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout compounding process.
• Conduct routine cleaning, testing, and monitoring of equipment and cleanrooms.
• Manage and monitor inventory of sterile drugs and supplies.
• Maintain accurate records of compounding activities and quality control documentation.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely medication delivery.
• Adhere to safety protocols and PPE usage; dispose of waste properly.
• Stay current with industry guidelines and best practices in sterile compounding.
