Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in Red Bank, NJ is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Technician I to support sterile compounding and medication delivery. You will prepare sterile IV admixtures, maintain aseptic technique, and work with pharmacists, nurses and other clinicians to ensure timely, safe patient care.

Responsibilities include inventory management, documentation, quality checks, and adherence to USP <797> standards.

Qualifications

• Education, knowledge and abilities required: sterile compounding, aseptic technique, USP <797> basics.
• Minimum 1 year of hospital or similar experience.
• Proficiency with pharmacy software and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Sterile compounding and preparing IV admixtures.
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout compounding.
• Perform quality checks and documentation of compounding activities.
• Manage inventory of sterile meds and supplies.
• Deliver medications to units and load/unload into ADC with barcode scanning.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses and other staff to ensure timely medication delivery.
• Adhere to safety protocols, PPE, and waste disposal procedures.
• Assist licensed pharmacists with labeling and dispensing medications as required.
