Job summary

ChristianaCare Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician, Specialty Pharmacy, to deliver patient-centric care in a high-touch program. After training, you may work from home up to two days weekly, supporting BI, PA, and UM processes for specialty meds.

You will coordinate with clinicians, pharmacists, and operations to ensure timely therapy starts and continued access, while maintaining accurate patient records and providing excellent service.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification required and active.
• At least 3 years of outpatient or specialty pharmacy experience.
• Enrollment or graduation from health science bachelor programs encouraged; PTCB certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for the specialty pharmacy program.
• Triages and coordinates patient needs with clinical and non-clinical teams.
• Develop relationships with patients and caregivers for an engaging experience.
• Coordinate enrollment in patient assistance programs to improve affordability.
• Facilitate prior authorizations and utilization management for specialty meds.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and operations to meet program goals.
• Enter patient info and prescriptions accurately in the dispensing system.
• Complete tasks under pharmacist supervision and support refills as needed.
• Adapt work assignments and fill in operational roles when required.
• Raise clinical concerns to the pharmacist on duty.
