Job summary

ChristianaCare Pharmacy — Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support patient-centric specialty medication services. You will triage needs, coordinate enrollments, and assist with prior authorizations under pharmacist supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 3+ years in outpatient or specialty pharmacy, and PTCB certification. A hybrid schedule may be available after training, with potential home work up to two days weekly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• PTCB certification required.
• At least 3 years of outpatient pharmacy or specialty pharmacy experience required.
• Applicants enrolled or graduate of a 4-year bachelor program in health science majors are encouraged and will be required PTCB certification within 1 year of employment.
• Strong customer service and time-management skills required.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the patient’s primary contact for the Specialty Pharmacy Program.
• Triages patient needs and escalates issues to resources.
• Develops relationships with patients and caregivers for an engaging experience.
• Liaises with clinical staff and operations teams.
• Performs BI and enrollment in patient assistance programs.
• Facilitates PA/UM and step-edits for specialty meds.
• Coordinates with pharmacists and operations on program goals.
