Job summary

AndHealth LLC is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Liaison (Patient Engagement Specialist) for an on-site role in Illinois. You will process prescriptions, verify benefits, and assist patients with copay cards and assistance programs while coordinating with providers to obtain prior authorizations.

You will document patient interactions, manage referrals, and generate adherence reports, following HIPAA guidelines. A bilingual English/Spanish candidate with strong communication is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• BLS obtained or willing to obtain.
• Certified or Registered Pharmacy Technician in IL required.
• Nationally certified - PTCB or ExCPT required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Willing to obtain and maintain licenses or certifications in multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process prescriptions within the pharmacy operating system and support daily inventory activities.
• Complete comprehensive benefits verification and help enroll patients in copay cards or patient assistance programs.
• Collaborate with providers to address formulary restrictions and complete prior authorizations or appeals.
• Communicate with patients to reassess medication utilization and schedule fills or deliveries.
• Accurately document all patient interactions within the specialty pharmacy software and route clinical needs to a pharmacist.
• Manage patient medical referrals for specialty care and guide them through onsite digital health questionnaires and the AndHealth mobile app.
• Generate adherence reports and follow HIPAA guidelines while providing on-site or remote support as needed.
• Maintain flexibility to provide on-site or cross-site remote assistance for continuity of operations.
• Other responsibilities as needed.
