Job summary

AndHealth is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Liaison to drive patient engagement for specialty medications at an Illinois health center partner site. You will process prescriptions, verify benefits, and enroll patients in assistance programs, while addressing formulary issues with providers.

The role emphasizes HIPAA-compliant communication with patients, documentation, and coordination of referrals. On-site presence with potential remote support is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• BLS certification obtained or willing to obtain.
• IL Pharmacy Technician license required; national certs preferred.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification required or obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions accurately in the pharmacy system and assist with inventory.
• Verify benefits and enroll patients in copay cards or assistance programs.
• Collaborate with providers for formulary issues and authorizations.
• Communicate with patients about medication use and follow-ups.
• Document interactions in pharmacy software for clinician review.
• Assist with patient referrals and guide through health questionnaires and app.
• Generate adherence reports and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Provide on-site or remote support as needed; support cross-site continuity.
