Job summary

AndHealth LLC is seeking a Specialty Patient Engagement Specialist to support our Ohio health center partner. This onsite role supports specialty pharmacy operations, benefits verification, prior authorizations, patient outreach, and app-based engagement.

Starting pay is $24/hr and the position follows standard business hours. You will collaborate with providers, document interactions in the pharmacy system, and help patients navigate copay programs while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• BLS certification obtained or willing to obtain.
• Certified or Registered Pharmacy Technician in OH required.
• Nationally certified - PTCB or ExCPT required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Willing to obtain licenses/certifications in multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions within the pharmacy operating system and support daily inventory activities.
• Complete comprehensive benefits verification and enroll patients in copay cards or other programs to reduce costs.
• Collaborate with providers to address formulary restrictions and complete prior authorizations or appeals.
• Communicate with patients about medication use, potential side effects, and scheduling fills/deliveries.
• Document all patient interactions in the specialty pharmacy software and route needs to a pharmacist.
• Manage patient referrals for specialty care and guide through onsite digital health questionnaires and app.
• Generate adherence reports and maintain HIPAA compliance; provide on-site or remote support as needed.
• Maintain flexibility for on-site or cross-site remote assistance.
