Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a full-time, on-site Specialty Pharmacy Liaison in Honolulu, Hawaii. You will coordinate pharmacy services, enroll patients, and support insurance and financial aid processes as part of CPS within Optum. The role works under a pharmacist and interfaces with patients, providers, and the CPS team.

You will manage prior authorizations, data entry, and patient outreach, including adherence checks and refill reminders, to ensure therapy success and access to medications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Hawaii pharmacy technician registration preferred.
• Experience in health systems or clinic pharmacy settings preferred.
• Experience with benefit investigations and prior authorizations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and enroll them into the program at the clinic.
• Explain benefits of the specialty pharmacy and assist enrollment.
• Handle insurance investigations, prior authorizations, and claims issues.
• Assist patients with financial aid programs and access to meds.
• Enter and verify patient data; provide adherence support and follow-up.
