Job summary

ChristianaCare Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II for a hybrid role, working Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 4:30, with up to two days remote per week. You will support specialized pharmacy services, manage access workflows, and help patients obtain therapy through benefits investigations and prior authorizations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• PTCB certification required.
• At least 3 years of experience in retail, specialty, ambulatory, or managed care pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive benefits investigations to determine coverage and patient financial responsibility.
• Prepare and submit prior authorizations and reauthorizations with complete clinical documentation.
• Coordinate and track appeals with pharmacists, providers, and payers for timely access to therapy.
• Facilitate patient enrollment in financial assistance programs (copay cards, manufacturer programs, foundations).
• Maintain ownership of assigned access cases from initiation through resolution with timely follow-up.
