Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support specialty and inpatient pharmacy services under pharmacist supervision. You will help deliver medications and take-home supplies, assist with quality control, and uphold MetroHealth System standards.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• 18 years of age or older with no felony convictions, per Ohio Revised Code 4729.42.
• Current/active Certified Pharmacy Technician from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or certification within 90 days of hire; maintains certification.
• Currently registered as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy; maintains active registration throughout employment.
• Currently registered as a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy and becomes a registered Certified Pharmacy Technician within 90 days of hire; maintains active registration throughout employment.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, performs a wide variety of duties in the delivery of pharmaceutical care in specialty pharmacies and inpatient pharmacy.
• Delivers medication related services to in-house patients and related take home medication services.
• Assists Pharmacists in performing quality control procedures for drug distribution technologies.
• Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
