Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Specialty Gas Engineer to manage code compliance and safety for new and retrofit facilities, overseeing design teams, contractor activities, and handover to customers. The role focuses on gas system connections, materials of construction, and overall project execution.

The position requires a 4-year engineering degree, 5+ years in specialty gas design and construction, and strong knowledge of relevant codes. Texas licensure (PE) and PMP/PgMP are valued.

Competenze

• 4-year degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of specialty gas design and project experience.
• Semiconductor facilities experience strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of construction site experience.
• Knowledge of codes and standards (IBC, IFC, NFPA).
• PM/PgMP certification desirable (PMP or PgMP).
• PE license in Texas or transferable.

Mansioni

• Lead strategic fab and support project planning for specialty gas systems and resolve critical path issues for codes and regulatory concerns.
• Develop, review, and approve SAS site construction and tool hookup specifications related to gas piping and equipment.
• Provide technical guidance to contracted design teams for gas connections and materials of construction.
• Interface with site operations and EHS to audit piping, equipment, and containment for code compliance.
• Oversee system handover, ensure all as-built and O&M manuals are completed and transferred.
