AltaMed Health Services is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to manage urgent, routine, and follow-up specialist appointments for IDT-approved authorizations. You will work closely with the IDT team, PCPs, PACE Center staff, and providers to ensure timely access to specialty care.

The role requires at least two years in medical settings, proficiency with referrals/authorizations, and experience with an electronic health system; bilingual ability is preferred depending on location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate preferred.
• Two years of minimum experience in medical/clinical field are required.
• Experience with referrals/authorizations and with an electronic health system is required.
• Bilingual English, Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese, depending on location, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate urgent, routine, and follow-up specialist appointments for IDT-approved authorizations.
• Collaborate with the IDT team to coordinate specialty services and advocate for participants’ needs; liaise with PCP, PACE staff, and providers to ensure timely access.
