Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corp. seeks a Scheduling Coordinator to manage urgent, routine, and follow-up specialist appointments for IDT-approved authorizations.

You will work closely with the IDT to arrange specialty services and advocate for participants’ needs, ensuring timely access to care. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, 2+ years in medical settings, EHR experience, and can communicate in English plus Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese depending on location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate preferred.
• Two years of minimum experience in medical/clinical field.
• Experience with referrals/authorizations and with an electronic health system.
• Bilingual English, Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese preferred depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate urgent, routine, and follow-up specialist appointments.
• Collaborate with IDT team to coordinate specialty services.
• Advocate for participants' specialty needs and timely access to care.
• Liaise between participants, PCPs, PACE Center staff, specialty providers, and Utilization Management.
