Cincinnati Eye Institute is looking for a Clinical Patient Access Liaison to remove access barriers to therapies, working with physicians and practice teams to speed up prior authorizations and improve patient access. This role supports real-time reimbursement workflows and acts as a bridge among patients, providers, and payers to initiate therapy promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience in patient access, reimbursement or specialty support services.
• Strong knowledge of payer dynamics, billing and pharmacy workflows.
• High emotional intelligence and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a central contact for patients and caregivers; support onboarding, coverage education and adherence.
• Manage prior authorizations, exceptions and appeals to resolve access barriers.
• Provide real-time guidance on payer requirements, step edits and documentation needs.
• Partner with specialty pharmacies, hub services and internal teams to facilitate access.
• Track access barriers, document activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
