Job summary

JGMS Government Services LLC is seeking a Specialized Engineer (Welding) to join our West Mifflin, PA team. You will engage in complex assignments with welding, machining, and other processes to advance repair technologies.

The role requires leadership in laboratory operations, technical presentations, and developing specifications while coordinating with vendors and shipyards. A DOE L clearance is required and travel will be necessary.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience, or Master’s with 3+ years.
Ability to plan, follow and execute work efforts; write technical submittals and recommendations.
Experience leading laboratory operations and delivering technical presentations.
Ability to interpret specifications, drawings, and engineering standards.
Plan and execute work programs, design experiments, analyze results, and prepare reports.

Responsibilities

Team with other engineers to identify, research, test, and evaluate repair technologies.
Travel to vendors and shipyards to support project planning, testing, and deployment.
Display Project Management focus: planning, coordinating resources, and reporting performance.
