About the Role

WhatJobs Direct, a specialist recruitment consultancy, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Recruiter to manage recruitment for the Public Sector and Non-Profit Organization (NPO) domains. This is a fully remote role, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. You will be instrumental in identifying and attracting passionate individuals and skilled professionals for a range of roles within government entities and charitable organizations. The position requires a nuanced understanding of the unique requirements, values, and often stringent processes associated with these sectors. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the recruitment process for roles within government departments and NPOs.
• Source candidates with experience or interest in public service and social impact.

• Conduct thorough candidate assessments to evaluate suitability and commitment.
• Build and maintain relationships with key contacts in the public and NPO sectors.
• Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies tailored to niche roles.
• Ensure a high level of service and a positive experience for all candidates.
• Manage candidate pipelines for ongoing or future recruitment needs.Stay abreast of trends and developments within the public and NPO sectors.
• Negotiate and facilitate the placement of selected candidates.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Recruiter or Talent Acquisition Specialist, with a focus on public sector or NPO recruitment.
• Strong understanding of the nuances and requirements of these sectors.
• Excellent sourcing skills, utilizing various platforms and networks.
• Proficiency in conducting effective interviews and candidate assessments.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with recruitment processes relevant to government and non-profit entities.
• A degree in Public Administration, Social Sciences, Human Resources, or related field is beneficial.
• Demonstrated commitment to social impact or public service is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of the Eastern Cape's public sector landscape is a plus, though the role is remote.
